With over 17 years in Elementary and Early Childhood Education, and babysitting experience, I love and am very comfortable being a part of walking with children as they grow and learn. I am kind, positive and set expectations and boundaries where needed. I take the natural opportunities to teach interpersonal and problem solving skills, as well as academic skills. I have really enjoyed being able to be home with my son in his first 4 years. I've worked with age newborn and up, taught Early Childhood, 2nd and 4th grade. I've created childcare worker training for a previous job and have taken CPR/First Aid/Universal Precautions trainings many times and have taken car seat training. I plan to recertify in CPR & First Aid this month. I do not smoke anything at all, do not use any kind of drug & have a clean driving record. I take the responsibility of Read more your child's safety and care very seriously. I will work to protect them physically and with what they are exposed to on tv, social media and otherwise. I am flexible and don't get rattled easily. I do believe there are times saying no is important, but have found I don't like to say "no" for the sake of saying "no" and more often than not, I can teach logic, redirect and also say "yes, why not." The first year of my sons life was my favorite, though there are joys I find with all ages. I have worked with a variety of special needs.
