Hello! My name is Cassie, I'm 24 years old, and I live in Kansas City, MO (near Zona Rosa). I've worked for the University of Kansas as an Academic Success Navigator for two years now - I work from home and absolutely love my job! Prior to working at KU, I worked at a library which I absolutely loved as well (I'm an avid reader and collect books). Before that, I worked at a daycare center for nearly five years. I primarily worked in the toddler classroom (ages 1-2), but I frequently worked with every other age group (ranging from infants to middle school-aged) as well. For two years prior to working as a daycare teacher, I worked in the Kids Zone at a gym where I took care of children of all ages (ranging from infants to 13 years). I have a Bachelor's degree from Park University, where I majored in Psychology and minored in Social Work. I also have an Associate's degree (General Studies) from Metropolitan Community College. When I started at Park, my major was actually Early Childhood Education - I was considering pursuing a career as a daycare director for quite some time. So, I took and excelled in many childcare-related courses at Park. If interested, I have included a list of the courses I completed below. I am CPR, First Aid, and AED certified (both pediatric and adult). I have reliable transportation and quite a flexible schedule thanks to my remote job. I am comfortable with pets (I have 2 cats myself) and I have experience pet sitting (dogs and cats). In my free time, I enjoy crafting - I love making homemade birthday/holiday cards and gifts for my loved ones. I also enjoy tending to my plants, reading, coloring, listening to music + attending concerts, going on walks outdoors, playing video games, cooking (and eating!), playing board games with friends/family, and more.
