My name is Brenda i’m 24 years old ! I was born and raised in south FL but moved to Dallas, TX for school! I love children and have had the pleasure of working in childcare since i was 15 years old. Over the years i’ve had the opportunity to better professionalize my work by gaining certification & behavioral training for multiple age groups. I joined an agency in 2021 to help gain better experience and connect with all kinds of families ! Since then i continue to work freelance & thankfully still have some pretty strong bonds with the children i’ve worked with ! We interviewed and met with Brenda as a part time Nanny for our 2 daughters. We showed her around our house and introduced her to our children. We were busy finalizing our schedule as one of our daughters is starting kindergarten. Once we finalized the schedule we texted her the times that we would need her and she responded "Hi goodmorning! Sounds Perfect! Thank you both so much, i'm very excited". In our conversations with her we asked whether she could come on Saturday as well to get the car seat to pick up our daughter, she responded that she had to check her schedule and would get back to us, which is reasonable. We followed up and didn't her back from her and she didn't show up on Monday which was her agreed start date. We haven't heard from her since. This is unprofessional, if Brenda had concerns and didn't want to work for us anymore she should've let us know.
