I am a 35-year-old Columbia University graduate from Montclair, New Jersey, who moved to Los Angeles from New York City in 2013. Professionally, I work in TV production (so you know I’m organized, type A and more than likely free on short notice). In my free time, babysitting locally has been a great opportunity to make money on the side and meet new people. I've often been told that my best personality trait is my ability to bond with people, specifically children, through my sense of humor and ability to relate to their experiences by using my memories of being a kid. For me, watching Paw Patrol or playing with Legos with your kid is not a job; it's fun! I’ve honestly never met a kid who hasn’t liked me and vice versa. Sometimes it’s just about being vulnerable, relating to them on their level and remembering to have fun! Read more I have a few recurring families who I’ve occasionally babysat for since 2015 — which should tell you that kids love me! It’s been very rewarding watching them grow from teeny infants to now 3rd graders! In 2011, I was a live-in au pair in Vancouver, Canada for a family with a 1 year old boy, a 2 1/2 year old boy and their golden retriever dog. I was responsible for meal preparation, feeding and cleanup, playing indoors and outdoors, teaching basic words, supervising drawing and crafts, potty training and diaper changing, administering medication (both boys had eczema and dry skin), dressing and undressing, bath time, bedtime, taking care of the family dog, cleaning their toys in the playroom and their bedroom. I've been babysitting for children of all ages since I was 13 years old. I've done everything from meal prep, clean up, laundry, playtime indoors and outdoors, bringing to parks, potty training, diaper changing, picking up at school, setting up play dates and bringing to horse riding practices, putting to bed, making up games, etc. etc. I love kids and am pretty much one myself, so I'm very entertaining to play with. I am CPR-certified and can do basic first aid, if needed. I can drive automatic and stickshift. I have gotten my background check and motor vehicle records check as well, to put you at ease that I am not a criminal! I can also care for pets — I myself have a schnoodle Buster (11 years old) and have cared for all types of animals, especially those with special needs. Let me know if you need any more information about me! Looking forward to meeting you and your children!
