Hello! I'm Malin, and I have been around infants, toddlers, and children for almost 2 decades. My mom started an in-home daycare when I was 4 years old, so I was immersed in a childcare environment growing up. Naturally, as I grew up, I helped out with the babies and toddlers under my mom's care when I wasn't in school. Half of the time, "helping" meant playing, but of course as I grew up I assisted more seriously when my mom allowed me. Whether that help included feeding and burping a baby during nap time, changing a diaper, or getting the children dressed to go outside, it was all very normal to me to be surrounded by kids. She maintained an in-home daycare until I graduated highschool. I grew close with the daycare children and their families throughout those years, and I have been a babysitter and housesitter for those Read more families into my adult years. Being able to care for children has always given me a sense of fufillment. They provide adults with a different perspective and remind us to leave space in our lives for being imaginitive and playful. Creating a safe environment for children is very important to me, and that includes emotional safety. It is important to me that the children under my care feel that they are taken seriously and treated with respect when voicing their emotions, interests, opinions, etc. I am certified in CPR and First Aid for infants, children, and adults through Red Cross.
