Hello! My name is Luanna, I am 23 years old and recently graduated from VCU with a bachelor's in psychology and criminal justice. Towards the end of my undergraduate studies, I shifted my focus on child development. I am working on my masters degree as well as my teaching license. I am CPR and first aid certified. I am also comfortable with travel and also have a clean driving record and a drivers license. I have a younger brother that I watched growing up and eventually began babysitting around my neighborhood. I was a high school and college athlete, so babysitting allowed me to have a more flexible schedule. Currently, I am a nanny to 3 different families. I Graduated in May 2022 and began working at a group home when I realized that I preferred working with younger children and returned to personal child care. I briefly worked at Read more a Montessori preschool as an assistant teacher as well. I have experience in all ages (from 2 months to 17 years old) and training with a wide range of special needs and disabilities. I am bilingual (Portuguese and English). Housework, transportation, and pets are no issue. I’m a believer that my role in the house is to be an extra helper who makes your life easier! I am recently engaged and they will often offer an extra set of hands for me when needed. I am currently living in Richmond VA; however, we are hoping to be given an opportunity to move out of the state. We are simply seeking a new start out of college and to move away from our hometowns. I am looking for a long-term position with one family and to build a personal relationship with you and your children. I hope to bring comfort and more stability into your home and assist your family as much as possible. My hope is to develop a reliable and personal relationship. I encourage physical activity and spending time outdoors as much as possible and to have as much fun as you can whenever you can. I will always try to create a healthy environment with open communication, and learn how to best support your children in whatever their interests may be. My main goal is to be able to assist in your child’s mental and physical development as well as their emotional wellbeing.
