As a member of your famiIys’ team, I am committed to providing a loving, safe environment that nurtures your children’s exploration and confidence. My expertise in technology, food addictions, and outdoor education allows me to offer a unique teaching approach, emphasizing exploration and confidence building through learned competence. In today’s digital age, I also focus on helping children manage technology and its addictive aspects effectively. By encouraging curiosity and exploration, especially in natural settings, I aim to foster invaluable hands-on learning experiences. I believe I bring a unique skill set in education-centered experiential play, risk management, executive functioning, inquisitive compassion and patience, and adaptability in dynamic environments. As for myself I have had CPR trainings in three different countries over the last 10 years. I currently have my Wilderness First Responder. When I am not a kayak guide in Seward in summers you can find me xc skiing, downhill and Read more backcountry snowboarding, trail running, playing soccer at the dome, reading, and painting. I love to play with children and follow their lead in their creative minds. I believe imagination is one of their greatest tools in creativity, problem solving, and learning. As Alaskans we are so fortunate to have access to many outdoor spaces, and for me those spaces are where I gained the most confidence in myself. I love sharing those spaces with others, especially kids to help them gain confidence in themselves. I look forward to supporting your children’s growth and helping them thrive as their unique selves.
