Hello all! I adore children. Even on those temper tantrum days! It's probably because growing up my mother who was an excellent mom, if I do say so myself, actually ran an in home daycare for our neighbors and other relatives in our single family home. Seeing so many different children at all different ages helped teach me the skills needed and compassion I have today for them. I learned how to be fair, fun but firm, and that kindness, understanding, and discipline go a long way when it comes to childcare. I have lots of patience and love teaching children new things no matter what the age, whether it be colors, shapes, or words for toddlers, or helping with homework or outdoor activities with older children. I have much experience with infants ranging upwards to children in 5th grade, and although it's not quite as often I do babysit Read more for older children, ages 10-14 with whom yes I do still have similar interests with although I'm in my 30s. I was a full-time nanny for an infant and later her baby sister when she became a toddler, for about 3 years and continue to sit for them now that they are both school age. I also spend a lot of time traveling to New York to visit family where I have part-time work caring for a 9-year-old boy whenever I'm visiting. I take him to and from school, we cook meals together, play lots of games both board and video, complete school projects, organize his room, and practice his new saxophone for school, which I thoroughly enjoy. I'm very capable and enjoy helping to keep the house in a cleanly state at all times, preparing meals, carpooling or transporting your children in my safe and insured vehicle, taking trips to parks or museums or even a friend's birthday party event. I also love animals so if you are a family with both multiple children and animals, no worries I'm great at multitasking! I'm available anytime of day at the moment and am always easy to reach even if it very last minute. Also references are available upon request.
