Hello! I am a born and raised 27 year old Seattlite. I have been a babysitter/nanny in the area for 14 years, starting at the age of 13. I have always loved working with kids. I have a BA degree in Early Childhood Education and have worked as a babysitter, full time nanny and daycare provider. I am currently looking for occasional sitting jobs and temporary/substitute nanny jobs for the reason that I might be traveling a bit in 2023. I love to play and learn with children by providing a comforting and rich experience where kids feel safe and engaged while they’re in my care . I understand my role as a professional babysitter/nanny to be an extension of the child’s parents. I aim to adapt my childcare style for each individual family to provide the children with familiar expectations and routines. I believe that play is a child’s Read more work so I aim to provide experiences and activities that enhance their play. I enjoy getting on the floor and engaging children in play that aids in their development. Each stage of a child’s development brings a different childcare experience, making it difficult for me to have a preferred age. My favorite activities to do with kids are arts/crafts/sensory play, spending time outside exploring, reading books and playing games. I balance play and caregiving while making sure that children understand and follow the expectations and rules set by their parents. Outside of childcare, I do housesitting and dog walking in my spare time. I am an animal lover and am comfortable with both dogs and cats (and most other critters!) In my free time I try to get outside as much as possible. I spend a lot of time with my family, listening to podcasts and eating good food. I am vegetarian but am comfortable cooking and serving meat.
