I have always been described as the mother or caretaker of my family and friends. Being characterized as patient, trustworthy, dedicated and understanding; I always try to do what is best for the people in my life. This is more precedent when it comes to how I care for children. I provided care for a family for many years before I went to school for my undergrad and thereafter continued to care for their children on an as needed basis. Parting with them did bring me grief but I also felt very blessed. I had the honor of being chosen and trusted by a family to provide proper, courteous, and exceptional care for their children, and even more so, watch them grow up and prosper! I have continued to expand my knowledge and abilities when it comes to children with other work positions and while earning my degree in Psychology. Read more With that, I would be able to incorporate appropriate age-level activities into the daily plan for a family according to their needs/guidelines. In addition, I would be more than willing to perform other duties such as light housekeeping that includes dishes, vacuuming, light laundry, meal prep,and toy clean up. I have been serving in some form of childcare for over 7 years and can honestly say that I am inspired by what I do! I feel children are a chance to see all that life has to offer and a constant reminder that it is okay to have a little fun sometimes. :) My goal as a Nanny is to not only apply my growth and enhanced abilities into my time with a new family but provide that happy balance they are looking for and be the ultimate side-kick! **I would be more than happy to provide background/criminal checks, references and certifications upon request**
