Hello! My name is RaeAnn and I am a 21 year old, 3rd-year student at Brenau. My current degree is in technical theatre and once I accomplish that I am going to get a degree in ASL-English interpreting. With that, I would like to develop a theatre program at the local school for the deaf. I have a strong desire to work with children, and starting a program that empowers them to work hard while having fun combines all of the things that I am passionate about. Aside from all of that, my biggest goal is to graduate and start my family. The most kids I've babysat at once by myself was 6, all within that age range. - 3 Summers nannying 2 boys (Starting ages of 6 and 11) My mornings started around 7:30am and ended around 8pm, depending on the day. I would take the boys to day camps, friends houses, local parks and event centers, the pool, and other places they were involved in. I will say, I did not just drop them off, I stayed at the location when it was appropriate, in addition to hanging out with the children. Days that we spent at home often consisted of crafts, limited video game/ tv time per the parents request, summer school work, and cleaning/cooking. Their father would sometimes come home during his lunch breaks and work in his office or spend time with all of us. Their friends would also come over (almost daily) and I would take care of up to 5 middle-school aged boys without any problems. Since this was a summer nannying position and I grew close to the boys, I had no problems enforcing any disciplinary actions their parents requested (with specific guidelines and communication with their parents; usually consisting of taking games away or time-out for a specified time period. This did not happen often, as they were very well-behaved.) *I understand that every family has different financial needs, so I have flexible rates. Money should not cause stress for child care, as it is already stressful enough. I am willing to discuss your needs and work with you. After all, date night is just as important as family nights
