I’m studying American Sign Language and am looking to support myself with caring for children as I work to learn ASL. I am able to communicate proficiently with children who are deaf or heart of hearing. I am able to use American Sign Language with babies and children who are nonverbal. As a mother of multiples, I took several parenting classes. I have adopted the teachings of J.J. Pawel. As a Licensed Social Worker in the State of Ohio and a Certified Family Life Educator, she wrote and taught The Parent's Toolshop. I believe in positive parenting and have wonderful thriving relationships with all three of my grown children. My formal experience working with children is as a teacher in the religious education program. I began teaching junior high student students preparing to be confirmed . In 2008, I switched to the before church program, caring for young children while Read more their parents attended worship service. When I began volunteering, there was no structure or learning for the kindergarten age. I gave the program by implemented a small educational component, which included parent involvement at home and in class activity. I am educational minded. I establish a relationship with kindness and respect. I’m fun, friendly and firm. I put an emphasis on helping children learn as they play and grow in a safe environment. Education in everyday tasks, engaging conversations and nature interactions is a key to my way of caring for children. I have understanding for children and their developmental abilities, which is what gives me patience in providing consistent care. I use creativity in problem solving. I have a level two self-defense training from the transport society from America, and CPR and first aid certifications to keep your children safe.
