Hi! My name is Maiya and I am currently finishing up my last semester studying Social Work at Taylor University. For the remainder of the year I will be working in an internship in Indianapolis and am looking to spend my free time creating relationships with kiddos and teenagers in the area through providing care. I have had the joy of growing up as the oldest of 8 children in my family and absolutely adore kids and teenagers! Outside of my home experience, I have worked in the professional child care setting with children ranging in age from newborn to 12 years old and have had the privilege of working as a short term nanny for two lovely families with boys ages 2-10. Engaging individuals in an authentic and nurturing way is my priority, along with the ultimate safety and happiness of those I am caring for. I am committed to communicating with families to understand their individual needs and opportunities I may have to provide further support.
