Hello! Thank you for clicking on my profile. I imagine you’re wondering if I would be a good fit to provide care for your child(ren). I too am wondering. My mom is an elementary school librarian—I would say I got my affinity for working with kids from her. I have sixteen years experience working with toddlers and pre-schoolers. I discovered I have a knack for working with preschoolers. I'm really good at it. I've worked with kids in a variety of roles: during social functions, working at a child development center but a majority of my experience has been babysitting and nannying in families' homes. I am a huge proponent of hands-on active child-directed engagement. This means I'm interacting with children at their level, doing what they want to do--within limits of course. I value being outside. I would much rather go play at a park outside than sit inside Read more and play — especially in Minneapolis when the winter weather means we spent much of winter indoors. I love building tape mazes, blanket forts, tunnels, houses out of cardboard (and washable markers) and reading books (I love reading kids books!), playing with Hot Wheels and letting kids be active. I have experience with kiddos on the autism spectrum and kids who have specific odevelopmental and social needs. While I am certainly not an expert I am empathetic and take the time to get to know your child as an individual in order to provide the best care for them.
