For as long as I can remember I have always had interest in childhood development as well as pondered my own wonder as a child. At the young age of 17 I began baby sitting and experiencing nanny work, from the start I fell in love with it. Being able to help a child grow and responsible for their well being is such a rewarding job. After high school and two years of infant and toddler care I began taking college classes at UC Berkeley for early childhood development/ child psychology. My passion for the field only grew once hired as a preschool teacher. After about a year and a half I started specifically working for individual families, and understand the specific needs of each one. From parents with demanding schedules to stay at home mom needing a “mommy helper” I’ve got you covered! Ranging in children’s ages, and experiencing Read more every child’s unique/fundamental milestone has connected me to the awareness of a child’s needs and behavior patterns. Overall I've learned how to properly educate, engage, play, teach, and delicately look after children, as well as keeping current CPR certification for infants/ toddlers and children, AED, and first aid. Reach out soon for phone call or meeting. 5 star reviews and ratings!

Ruth helped as a nanny this year with my twins. She is truly outstanding. Kind, caring, thoughtful, and provided appropriate limits. Not to mention a terrific cook. The children adore her. I couldn't provide a stronger recommendation.

We did not plan on hiring a nanny for our preemie daughter, but felt it was prudent to help her get strong enough to handle daycare eventually. Ruth arrived in our lives at the nick of time, and became an invaluable part of our tiny family. She was extremely caring and enthusiastic with our daughter, and paid attention to the unique demands and milestones of preemies. Ruth was flexible with a big move during her tenure, and always professional, considerate, and communicative. An pleasure to work with, and a true boon for our daughter. Any family would be lucky to have Ruth care for their children.

Ruth was amazing with our 1-year-old son! We were in town for a wedding and our previous sitter canceled on us last minute. Ruth saved the day and watched our son with a day's notice. Without even asking her, she texted me updates and photos throughout the evening. If we were local to the area, I would have loved to hire Ruth again! Definitely recommend!

Our family loves Ruth! She is smart, professional, and so great with kids. She has lots of experience with toddlers which is what we were looking for. Our daughter is 3 and instantly connected with Ruth, which is not always the case with new nannies. We hope to work with her for a long time.

Ruth is amazing!!! She helped us for an entire day on very short notice when we unexpectedly didn't have any to watch our 2-year old. She was very responsive and professional with all our interactions. She arrived early the day of to make sure she knew where everything was and what our son's routines were. Our son usually takes a while to warm up to people, but warmed up to Ruth right away. She did all kinds of different fun developmentally-appropriate activities all day with our son and sent us several pictures and videos. She is a genuinely kind, caring, attentive, and trustworthy person. I wish we had a need for her more often!!!

My first reaction meeting Ruth was, "Thank goodness, a normal human." My second reaction was, "She's not just normal...she's awesome." We've had Ruth in our home about 4 times now. I really appreciate her knowledge of the various parenting techniques. She's great at setting guidelines for our boy while keeping it fun. She's very patient, interactive, and kind.
