My name is Emmalee Sullivan. I'm from Medford, Oregon, but I moved to Springfield to attend UO. I am very passionate about human communication and teamwork. Those skills have led me to do multiple jobs, including three different serving jobs at Texas Roadhouse (3 years), Eugene Country Club (5 Months), and currently, Sweetwaters on the River. Although Im on seasonal leave from work because of the slow season, I am not currently scheduled. In customer service jobs, I have adopted communication, teamwork, and being outgoing and kind. Some of my favorite hobbies include hiking, cooking, and watching movies. My New Year resolution this year was to know who the actors are and have a good list of movies I've watched (I'm terrible with actors' names and what roles they had). Im super big into being outdoors. There are tons of hikes in Medford, including some of my favorites, Pilot Rock, Read more Table Rock, and Roxanne Peak. This summer, my goal is to hike the base of Mountain St. Helens as well. Cooking has also been one of my big passions lately, especially living on my own. I would love to invite the children I'm sitting with to learn how to cook and know exactly where your food comes from. I would also love to take them on child-safe hikes to have them experience the open air and teach them about the great outdoors and how much there is to do. My personality is very goofy, knowledgeable, outgoing, and kind. One thing my friends have always told me is how motherly my personality is. I always cook for my roommate and clean her room when she's gone. A single mom raised me, so I have adopted some of the strong traits she's pushed on me, including independence. Being a teacher/leader means learning to appreciate everything. My last babysitting job was my first year of high school; I babysat one autistic kid. We would go outside with him, play with the dirt, and make dirt castles. We would also make snacks together, form them into shapes, and play with many cars. My brother and I have also babysat since he was a newborn. I would bottle-feed him as well as put him down for naps. With all of this, I'm very excited to join this field and meet you!
