Growing up in a home that my mom day-cared out of, I've been caring for children for as long as I can remember. Now, after graduating college and receiving a certificate in Massage Therapy through post-graduate school, I keep going back to child and pet care because it's what I love to do and it's what I'm best at. My "specialties" are helping develop strong social skills and appropriate behavioral and emotional skills. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation, which, essentially is providing leisure programs for people with disabilities. One of the skills I learned through my education was how to effectively create and administer behavioral accommodations. Having this ability allows me to help all people, especially children, who are not always able to verbally communicate their thoughts and emotions. I have extensive experience in working with babies (even newborns), children, adolescents/teenagers and people of all ages with Read more disabilities. I'm very comfortable administering medication when needed and I respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations. I feel that people should be encouraged to express themselves so I provide a safe and comfortable environment to do so. One of my purposes on this wonderful planet is to provide encouragement and love to each individual so they can grow to be successful, contributing adults in our society. My primary passions in life are children, animals, nature and health/well-being. The following are a few random pieces of information so you can get a feel for who I am: -I'm 31 years old -I have two small dogs (Geovanni and Cheeseburger), and a little corn snake (Dexter) -I love long-boarding, running, climbing trees, yoga and mediating -I'm in the process of studying Feng Shui -I am First Aid and CPR certified and I'm always trying to stay up-to-date with other emergency protocols My sincere intention is to add more love and light to this world, to make a positive difference for people and to enjoy going to work every day! I'd love to speak with you and answer any other questions that weren't addressed.

Jacilyn helped us on a number of occasions and we were very impressed with her every time. Our daughter - who was 5 months old at the time - immediately loved Jacilyn, who was able to key in on what our daughter wanted and needed. We needed Jacilyn a number of times on short notice for temporary work, and she was always available and excited to help. We would have hired her full time, but we had conflicting schedules.
