Hello parents! I enjoy working with kids of all ages, and love watching them learn. I've been sitting for many families (50+) in the area for the last few years, and I also have a Masters of Education (Elem. Ed.) from George Mason. Over the past 14 years I’ve worked with children in a variety of roles, including: -- Occasional babysitting (2010-2024) - Ages 2-10 -- FCPS - Internship (3rd/5th grade) and sub teaching (2010-2013) -- Private tutoring Since I am a male sitter, I’d be a great fit for those with boys that like to build legos, conduct science experiments, and play outdoor games and sports! I also enjoy and have lots of experience babysitting younger children and toddlers, as young as 30 months. Note: I prefer to babysit for children between the ages of 2.5-10. Since I currently work full time, my schedule is limited to just occasional afternoons, evenings and weekends. I consider myself Read more professional, caring, reliable, and fun! I have a variety of good references and all the sitter basics: [background check, transportation, non-smoking, references, etc.] Thank you for reading, and I look forward to hearing from you!

We've used quite a number of sitters as our family has moved to many areas, so it means a great deal that my daughter said Andrew was the best sitter she'd ever had. He brought a craft that was age appropriate and creative, and both kids absolutely loved it. From a parent standpoint, it was great to see that dinner dishes and the play area was tidied up so it wasn't a big mess when we got home. He was sensitive to some of the additional concerns we had for a sitter to be mindful of, and he took the time to ask questions about my kids so he knew enough about their interests to really engage with them from the first moment. I highly recommend Andrew!

Andrew is by far the best babysitter we have the pleasure to work with. Not only is Andrew conscientious and responsible, he is fun and playful. He brings wonderful and creativE activities and projects that my kids rave about. He even did a volcano and science experiment using household items. Andrew is OUTSTANDING!

I trust him and the boys (2.5 and 7.5) love it when he comes over. He always has a special project planned and communicates very well. What more could you want?

Andy has been a regular weekly babysitter for my 9-year-old son for a month now. Being a former social worker, I'll be honest--I did initially have some qualms regarding hiring a male sitter. Nonetheless, I found Andy to be extremely conscientious and professional in his approach with me as well as with my son. He was able to offer his resume and refs when he felt it was a good match. Andy is particularly communicative about the activities and about potential problems or concerns I might have or that would impede our working relationship. He made sure he had a good sense of my son, and has been able to tailor his activities to my sons needs and interests. I'm impressed with how much he squeezes into one night, playing board games, drawing, getting out, eating, completing homework, and a little TV. Overall, I feel grateful that my son is in good hands when with Andy and I feel he inherently cares for the welfare of my son. My son seems very satisfied when speaking of his time with Andy. No complaints=good. I'm thankful for his diligence and reliability. I feel my son is safe when I return home. Thanks, Andy!

Andy did an excellent job with our 2 boys. They we're very happy to have a "boy" sitter for the first time and Andy exceeded expectations with the projects and crafts he brought along.

Andy was great with my boys. My one son is interested in drawing and Andy had brought along drawings from architecture class so my son was thrilled. He is reliable and has a true interest in teaching children.
