Meet Aliyah

I'm a Master's in Social Work student with a background in child education! Growing up as the oldest of four baby siblings, I've experienced the good, the bad, and the ugly of taking care of kids up close. From there, my experience working at an art camp that served over 40 children taught me the challenges of working with the various needs of the kids I was tasked with caring for. It also taught me just how enriching that working with children could be! Kids bring an energy, spontaneity, and fun to life that I love to match and channel into seeing the kids I'm working with grow! Now I've worked with kids in a setting anywhere from art camps to tutoring, and in my social work program, I've gotten to supplement my on-the-ground experience with knowledge about child development, child psychology, and how to best approach addressing a child's Read more needs.
