I became a caregiver because it’s fulfilling and I love caring for others be it animals or people. I used to babysit toddlers when I was a teenager for family friends. I have 2 step grandbabies under age 1 i watch time to time. My job is caring for people on waiver services so it’s what Ive known for a long time. I am a licensed personal care aide contracted with Medicaid for the state of Ohio. Before that I was a home health aide for Interim Healthcare in New Philadelphia. I am CPR certified for adults and infants as well as First Aid which I’m required to stay up on every 2 years. I also passed a background check which was needed to be able to do my job. I’m working on some online courses from home for nutrition and for kid care as well to further my qualifications Read more so parents feel comfortable with me doing the job for their children.
