Hi there, my name is Carissa and I’m an energetic and creative 27 year old! I recently moved here from Texas, and am currently working towards becoming a school counselor. Alongside going to school and working, I have been in childcare on and off for the last 9 years. I have experience working with families with children between newborn (0) and 12 years old. I also worked in a high school within the special education program for a year. In addition to taking care of kids professionally, I grew up in a large family and helped raise my siblings as the oldest sister, and my youngest cousins from infancy to a year old. Talk about surrounded by kiddos! I’m looking for anything from one-time babysitting help, to full-time nanny positions. I want to see your children meet milestones while having fun, and becoming excited about the world around them. There is no greater joy than to see a child learn something or express themselves! My focus will be to give your children a safe, routine-focused, and creative space while we are together. I love doing seasonal crafts, baking, pretend play, encouraging independent time, and special weekly outings when appropriate. I’m firm but kind, and will work with you on any challenges your children may experience. In my personal time, I love to hang out at home or explore St. Louis with my fiance (who works in special education!).
