Many years (and 4 nanny families) ago, I transitioned from serving as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the hospital/trauma center environment to an independent Critical Care Nanny. I carried my RCP licensure until last year, when I decided to continue with my nanny duties and let it expire. Although my current family and those before have had medical considerations to consider ~ neurological issues, Moebius Syndrome, genetic issues creating special concerns, etc. I would be elated to join a newborn family with healthy baby needs as well. My current (4+ years) nanny family's little one will attending Kindergarten in the Fall of 2025, so I will be joining another. I continue to hold my CPR certification, but have also had a wallet full of past certifications that provide a wealth of experience with little ones ~ PALS, PEARS, ACLS, Neonate certifications, etc. To me, the perfect nanny family fit becomes Read more evident with a sit down meeting to discuss in depth needs, expectations, parenting styles, and household wishes. Previous families have appreciated my expertise in sleep training and my willingness to "cover the monitor" and provide night shifts periodically, including date nights, vacations, work functions, etc. We strive to maintain a happy environment for everyone, and the little ones feel the contentment, are soothed by the symbiotic energy, and thrive. A typical week includes daily meal prep, baths, outdoor activities, updates with photos (if preferred), activity logs for reference, date night, transition time updates, physician well care and sick care visits (if preferred), special moments uploaded to nanny family frame, laundry/household maintenance for child, encouragement towards developmental milestones, and so much more.
