Hello, my name is Jessica. I have worked in a few different fields starting from when I was in high school I worked in a special needs group home. In that job I was a care giver to kids 4-19 years old. I was also a waitress at our family owned restaurant/gift shop during high school. After high school I moved to Denver and decided to teach as an assistant preschool teacher from 2014-2018 I taught in two different schools throughout that time, teaching ages 8 weeks to 5 years. I then tried a career change and applied for an animal control job in my home county where I worked for two years. I enjoyed helping reunite lost pets with their families. After multiple dangerous situations I decided it was not the right path for me and went back to teaching as an assistant preschool teacher in 2020 moving up Read more to be a lead teacher in 2021-2024. I am currently qualified as a lead preschool teacher through Colorado Shines. I am constantly working on furthering my education to help understand children, families and their needs. I have EQIT(Expanding Quality Infant Training) , CPR/First Aid, ITERS-R overview, CDA 4 month course and some other certifications. I am currently not working as I wanted to start to take over my family owned store. While I wish I could do it over night it seems more of a long term goal, I decided that I needed to get other income coming in while I work on that big dream I have. I feel that being a caregiver/nanny will give me the opportunity to help families in need of care, and to create the income needed to become successful with my goal. I really enjoy working with children as it is encouraging to watch them grow! I try to understand each child’s needs and help them become the best human they can be. I provide individualized support which is crucial to each child’s growth and learning. I am supportive to families and try to help meet all needs. Thanks for reading!
