My name is Sarah Fernandez, and I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. I’ve owned and operated my own restaurant for the past 16 years, but I recently made the heartfelt decision to close it. This choice was driven by my desire to have more flexibility and to spend more quality time with my family, especially my brother and my seven-year-old niece, who tragically lost her mother in August of 2024. Family has always been at the center of my life. I have two wonderful children of my own, now adults aged 32 and 29. I also helped raise my nephew, who is now 23, and I’m now deeply involved in helping to raise my niece. In addition to my family, I’ve cared for my godchildren and have often babysat for friends and family, although I’ve never done so in a professional capacity. However, my experience with children Read more is both extensive and heartfelt. What I cherish most is the joy I find in being around children. One of the things I’ll miss most about my restaurant is the connection I had with the children who visited—I loved seeing their faces light up, not just because of the food but because of the warm, welcoming environment I created.
