I have many years of experience in care giving. I successfully raised two amazing children of my own, and am excellent with children/babies. My families fondly refer to me as the "Modern Day Mary Poppins"! I have a natural way with people, especially children. I keep things organized and tidy. I have cared for family and friends who were terminally ill. I am loving, dependable, caring, trustworthy, patient, punctual and tons of fun! I believe everyone regardless of age should be respected, celebrated, seen, heard and believed. I am in alignment with attachment and gentle parenting philosophies. I was my Mother's caregiver for 20 + years. She has Alzheimer's/Lewy Bodies Dementia and it was necessary for her to be moved to a memory care facility as of 8/2019. I love to cook and don't mind helping with children's laundry. I enjoy working with children/babies/people of all ages. I enjoy playing Read more all types of games, love reading books, working on fine and gross motor skills, language acquisition, doing art projects, helping with homework, music therapy, I teach ASL to children who are less verbal, going on secret adventure walks and monitoring developmental milestones and any health issues of concern. I'll run reasonable errands, provide transportation to appts and activities. I am CPR/First Aid Certified. I previously had a long term commitment to an adorable "special needs" Bi-Polar/ADHD 7 yr boy & his 4 yr old brother, that ended 6/2021 after almost 3 years. Another commitment was to two girls 4 and 20 mo old that ended 2/2022. The 4 yr old is special needs ODD. My current commitment ended 12/2023. I've been caring for a beautiful baby girl for a year. She just turned 19 months. During this year she was recovering from skull surgery and now that she is fully recovered, the decision has been made for her to begin daycare. I am also a certified behavioral interventionist. References will be provided upon request. I am faith based based and respectful of all lifestyle choices. I am fully Covid vaccinated including boosters, flu and TDAP shots. I live locally. My hourly is $25-$40 per hour depending on the scope of work and number of children.
