Hi, I’m Shakari Minor, but you can call me Asia! I’m 21 years old with a strong passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development. I’ve gained 12 years of hands-on experience helping raise my six nephews and eight nieces—my oldest niece is now 12 years old! Currently, I work at a middle school and am pursuing my education to become an ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) Therapist and Social Worker. My goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of children and families, especially those in need of guidance and support. Babysitting is a great way for me to gain additional professional experience while working toward this dream. My background includes working at the Lakeshore Museum Center, serving as a Counselor-in-Training (CIT) at Camp Tuhsmeheta (Camp T), and completing an internship at a therapy center. Camp T is a unique outdoor education facility designed to Read more provide enriching experiences for individuals with visual impairments and other special needs. Working there allowed me to build patience, adaptability, and creativity, skills I bring into every childcare role. I don’t currently have a driver’s license but am actively working toward getting one. In the meantime, I ensure reliable transportation to and from babysitting jobs. I’m available: •Weekdays: After 5 PM until late (perfect for parents working late or going on a date). •Saturdays: From 11 AM to 8 PM. •Sundays: From 3 PM to 9:30 PM. Availability may vary occasionally due to appointments or other commitments, but I will always let you know in advance.
