Hi! My name is Layna and I am a 19 year-old journalism student, currently located in Hancock Park. I am from Bucks County Pennsylvania and I attend The New School University, but am taking a semester off to work on a research project here in LA before returning in January. I have a self-made schedule, leaving me with a lot of flexibility and availability to work. So, a bit about my experience with childcare: I have been babysitting for seven years now. I come from a large family of cousins, so I began by working (paid) first for my family and then for their friends and other people in the community I grew up in. When I went to school in New York I began working higher paid jobs with more hours, some nannying and some babysitting. I have watched children of all ages up to 12, multiple at a Read more time and through a lot of different routines (school pickup, bedtime, etc.). I am well equipped and more than willing to help with household jobs as well. Some of my interests include art, writing, and nature. I love to incorporate these things into babysitting when I can by doing crafts with kids, playing outside and going to hikes, and reading. I can also give an honest attempt at any sports. Ultimately I love kids and babysitting has always been a meaningful and important job to me. Please reach out with interest!
