Hello I hope this finds you well! I am looking for applying for the babysitting position and wanted to tell you a bit about myself. I am a 18 year old student attending Dutchess Community College majoring in Behavioral Sciences in Human Services. Through this first year I was able to gain more hands on experiences with children as I completed an internship at Harriet Tubman Academic Skills Center, located in Poughkeepsie, NY. This internship allowed me to work with children right after school in a classroom setting along with other teachers. I learned how crucial and beneficial it is for children to have support and enrichment from adult figure in their life. I worked hands on with the children in my classroom. I worked with the students from kindergarten - second grade. During the summer of 2023 before I attended school, I babysat for this family who were in Read more the states from Argentina. I had a family friend who worked for them recommend me to them as a babysitter for their 1 year old son. I babysat the baby boy for about the last 2 week the family was in the states for. I remain contact with them and whenever they are in the states, they contact me for babysitting. I love working with kids and being around them. Along with professional experiences I have personal experiences with family children. Growing up I was always surrounded by children as I was one the biggest cousins/siblings/aunt. I had siblings who were having kids as I was growing up. As I grew up with them I learned how to take care of children. This is where I learned baby cues, how to care for them, changing diapers, preparing bottles for them, prepping snack/ food for them. I love to say I am a part of my nieces and nephews up brining because as my siblings worked and my in laws, I stayed home with the children and raised them as I was growing up as well.
