I am a career nanny living in Washington DC. I have over 15 years of childcare experience. My latest position was for an infant through the first two years of life. I particularly enjoy the early years, but have experience with kids of all ages, needs, and multiples. I am currently working as a nanny M-Th for a great family in Alexandria. I am looking to fill my Fridays with regular or occasional work in the DMV. I love being creative and laughing with kids. Some of my hobbies include cooking, baking, playing musical instruments, dancing, playing sports, traveling, and reading. I’ve been playing the violin since the age of 5 and dancing for nearly as many years. I have a B.S. in Food Science and Human Nutrition from Clemson University. I can help with meal prep, homework (any grade), and light housekeeping as well. I take pride in my Read more organization and efficiency skills and would eventually like to take on a house manager role. I am an intermediate ASL student and would love the opportunity to work for a family who uses ASL. I am also excellent at teaching and utilizing baby signs. I am an intermediate French speaker and know basic Spanish. I am passionate about learning languages! Thanks for your interest!

Sydney helped our family with babysitting our 3 year old son. She arrive promptly and immediately garnered our, and our son’s, trust and he had a great time with her. We would recommend Sydney and will look to use her again.

Sydney was great with our two girls! We had a last minute gap in childcare and were able to hire her for the next day. At the end of the day our girls were genuinely sad to say goodbye, and have asked repeatedly when sydney will be back. In my books, there is no higher recommendation than that. She was punctual and very comfortable around the kids, as well as our cat and dog. I would hire her again in a heartbeat!
