Hello! I’m Rajah, and my love for caring for children started when I became an aunt at just 11 years old. My niece and I were inseparable, and I quickly took on responsibilities like feeding, bathing, styling her outfits, and even sharing my bed with her. Growing up as an only child on my mom's side, I longed for siblings, and caring for younger children became my way of nurturing that instinct. I started babysitting at my grandma’s house when I was around 12, looking after 2-4 kids every other week. By 13, I worked at a daycare run by a friend’s mom, where I learned the importance of creating a safe, engaging environment. I also served as a Counselor in Training at Camp Joy, developing leadership skills and the ability to care for children in group settings. In my teenage years, I became a Junior Coach for a little Read more league cheer team, and later an Assistant Coach, where I supported kids in learning cheer and developing teamwork. In 2022, I became the Head Coach for a 10-12 year old cheer team and also took on the role of Cheer Coordinator and Varsity Cheer Coach at Spencer Center for Gifted & Exceptional Students. These experiences reinforced my commitment to helping kids grow both in sports and as individuals. I’ve also worked as a long-term substitute teacher for first grade, where I’ve learned to meet individual needs and adapt lesson plans to help children thrive. With years of experience in cheerleading, daycare, and teaching, I’ve developed a deep understanding of how to communicate with kids and make them feel safe, valued, and encouraged. I believe in creating a positive environment where children feel supported emotionally, socially, and intellectually. I became a caregiver because I truly enjoy watching children grow, learning from them while helping them discover their potential. Whether it's guiding them through a craft project or simply making them laugh, I love knowing that I’m making a difference in their lives. My goal is to help children feel safe and empowered in my care, fostering an atmosphere of love, patience, and positivity. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration and aspire to be a wonderful mother one day, drawing from all of the experiences that have shaped my caregiving journey. If you're looking for a reliable, experienced, and caring babysitter who will always put your child’s well-being first, I’d love the opportunity to meet your family and provide the best care possible.
