Hello Tennessee Families! 🤗 I am 28 and have dedicated my life to becoming a midwife. I have happily served hundreds of families in the last 6 years. I just moved here from Sedona, AZ where I had my own practice. It takes a lot of energy and time to start up a new practice. I've decided that while I get to know this area and what families want from a home birth midwife, it gives me the perfect window to nanny in the meantime! I haven't always loved being around kids. However, this year, that changed for me after working with an amazing family-- 3 kiddos ages 1, 3, and 7. They taught me to go on amazing adventures and let go of control/schedules when it came to them. I also worked with another family with a one year old babe. Lastly, I tutored an 11 year old for Read more homeschool. We would hike to the creek to do school there or go to the library, or go grab a yummy, organic, snack. I also worked at several kids yoga events/workshops/camps. Like I said, my love for kiddos really came through this year! While I am with your kiddos, I am a space holder for all emotions- big, small, intense, etc. I want them to feel safe and loved. I aim to let them lead. I make space for them to figure out their own limits, how to overcome them, and nurture their self-esteem. If your kiddo naps, I usually find things to tidy up, make snack or sometimes read for a few minutes. Yes, we also get homework done if that is what's needed. Again, I always want the child to have their own desire to get things accomplished. Together, we find our way to make learning fun. Because of my Midwifery background, I have NRP and CPR training. I am excited to meet you and see what adventures are in store for us!
