Inspired by The Baby-Sitters Club books growing up, I couldn't wait to begin my babysitting career! I took a babysitting course when I was 11, and regularly cared for children from several families all through middle school, high school, and college. After college, I was a full-time nanny for a family with three kids (including twins). I moved to Portland in my early 20s, where I was a part-time nanny for three different families with kids aged 1-8 years. I also taught art to kids at summer camps and after school programs and was a staff member at a Boys and Girls Club. Later on, during my Peace Corps service in Latin America, I led literacy, art, and life skills programs for kids and youth of all ages. I have worked office jobs since finishing graduate school, but I still have many kids in my life with whom I love Read more spending time. I regularly provide care for my niece and nephew (aged 4 and almost 2) as well as my friends' kids. I would love to have kids of my own, but being an aunt is pretty great too :). I lost my job unexpectedly last year and am looking for flexible, part-time work while I continue to apply to full-time roles. I'm available for childcare, pet care, errands, and light housework. I'm caring, responsible, patient, and creative - I especially love reading books and doing art projects with kids. I have first aid and CPR training.
