Hello!! My name is Norma, I am 40 years old and from Lima, Peru. I have over 6 years of nanny experience with newborns, toddlers, and children of up to 5 years of age. Currently I am in a full-time position looking after a 2 year old boy and a girl who just turned 4. I have been with this family since I moved to the US 2 years ago, but unfortunately they are moving abroad at the end of August, which is why I am looking for a new family. I am a positive and energetic mother of three boys and love taking care of children and watching them grow, helping them during their different developmental stages, playing with them, taking them outside (I love spending time outdoors with them!), doing arts and crafts with them, taking them to the library, and teaching them to be caring, social (the Read more kids I currently look after have made the best playground friends), but also independent. I’ve been living in the United States for 2 years. I am fluent in Spanish and truly enjoy teaching my mother tongue to kids. My English is still a little bit basic but I am diligently studying it to get better every day. I'm able to provide a supervised, safe, and stable environment for your little ones. I can help with light children related household tasks such as doing dishes, laundry, and some light cooking. Feel free to message me if you’re interested. Thank you!!!!

Over the last 2 years, Norma, who is a mother of three herself, has been the best nanny we could wish for and has taken the best care of our 2 kids since my son was 6 months old, and my daughter had just turned 2. She is incredibly caring, trustworthy, responsible, organised, and very quickly became a part of our family. We all love her and are incredibly sad about losing her but we are relocating internationally at the end of August 2024. We would take her with us in a heartbeat if we could! Norma is looking for a full-time position, M-F, preferably in Bethesda but open to Chevy Chase/Potomac, too. She is CPR/First-Aid certified, is native Spanish speaking and is getting better in English every day! Norma is uber-patient, incredibly loving, creative, and cheerful. She brings a can-do attitude to work each day and is a positive light to be around. She is meticulous in cleaning up the house after our children, doing dishes, laundry, and some light cooking. Norma is punctual, reliable, and flexible and nearly always available to do extra hours when needed. She perfectly balances being loving and firm by setting the right boundaries without ever losing her cool! She is very communicative, seeking regular feedback and perfectly adapting to our parenting style. Norma sends frequent updates throughout the day with pictures of our children during their daily time at the playground, days at the neighbourhood pool, regular arts and craft activities she organises for them and their playground friends, story time at the library, visits to the zoo, and more. When our son was an infant, Norma also kept track of her feedings, diapers, and sleeping. In addition, she takes – and picks up - our daughter from daycare a couple of days a week Thanks to her, our children have become incredibly caring, kind, generous, polite, and social. They are active kids who are incredible with other kids (but also enjoy playing on their own!) and amongst adults, nature loving, creative, and more! Norma helped to teach our kids Spanish by reading, speaking, playing, and singing to them in Spanish. She supported us with each developmental stage including going from infant to toddler stage, transitions to solids, reduction of naps, transitions from the pacifier, potty training, etc. Norma is also meticulous about health and safety measures such as hand washing, ensuring there are no choking hazards, etc. We truly love Norma and are confident she'll bring the same love and dedication to your family! We are available to answer any questions you may have and Norma would be happy to put you in touch with us for references.
