My name is Alyssa, I am vaccinated, and am currently an 8th grade science teacher :) I have been teaching middle school science for the past 8 years and LOVE it. In addition to spending the majority of my time with middle school aged children I have experience babysitting children of all ages. I grew up in the West Caldwell area and most recently moved to West Milford. I am a very outgoing hands on person. I love engaging and interacting with children. I am not the sit and go on my phone type I am constantly doing at home kitchen science with the children I watch on rainy days or getting outside and exploring the natural world. I genuinely enjoy interacting with children and developing a rapport with even the most difficult of personalities is a strong suit of mine. For the past couple summers I have watched an elementary aged girl, who is going away to a full time camp this summer. I have experience caring for 4 children at a time and children between the ages of 1-16. My duties typically include childcare, light meal prep, laundry, household cleaning, transportation, pet care, and tutoring. I have my own vehicle with a clean driving record. The family I have babysat for most recently has a pool and I oversee playdates and children swimming when they are over.
