First off, I probably don’t like your imagine of what a nanny looks like, but imagines are meant to be broken! I have always loved kids and have been told a way with them. I started taking care of children when I was 12, babysitting all the neighborhood children, in high school I took care of 2 boys, both were in elementary school after school for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week for 3 years until I went off to college. It wasn't until the late nineties when I was in the restaurant business that i met a family with 3 children, one girl(7) and 2 boys(5 & 3) who had become regular clients at the time and the mother one day ask if I would be interested in making some extra money taking care of her children, I had adored her children and I had a great Read more rapport with them, so it was a no brainer! I worked for them for 4.5 years working 4 days a week for around 4 hours. At first I would pick the oldest child up from school and the two boys up from there daytime sitter’s house and take them home, I would start cooking dinner, clean up the house, play with kids, go for walks and bike ride, occasionally roller skating. Would do their homework with them as needed, would help all 3 of them with learning math, there ABC's, learning word spell and write words, etc! I also took them to all there after school activities! It was wonderful watching learn and grow! I can say that the oldest went on to get her master degree, the middle child is now a lawyer working for Google and the youngest graduated for UNC. They also now have a younger sister! The family moved to North Carolina in 2002! I was in the restaurant business for years and most recently I owned my own business for 14 years when I had shoulder surgery a year ago and sold my business! I'm looking for a part time/full time nanny position working 12-20+ hours a week, I have my own transportation. I'm also CPR and First Aid Certified. Looking for a family with 1 or 2 children (6 months and up).
