Miriam V.

We've worked with Miriam for the past 6 years. We hired "Mimi" part-time back in 2010 and she has been caring for both our sons since they were newborns. She is truly extraordinary: respectful, responsible, loving, structured and professional. She has rarely called in sick and is always on time if not early. She will play on the floor with the boys, take them to the park, to the library, brings over art materials for crafts, reads to them, does homework with my oldest, she loves teaching them sports and music... and we're all very grateful and lucky to have her in our lives. I've had other moms approach me to tell me how great she is with my boys in my absence, and there's just no better feeling than being able to leave the house on my way to work knowing the kids are in great and loving hands. She's also our #1 babysitter and I can leave the house not even having to tell her any instructions because I know she knows exactly how to care for my kids. We have asked her to speak only Spanish to our children, but she speaks excellent English and has cared for all different family types and cultures. She has her own new car and no dependents, so she literally dedicates her life to her childcare kids and families, and she has become part of ours! I can honestly say that she has taught me how to be a better, more patient parent.

Miriam was our nanny for 2.5 months and took care of our 3 young kids. She loved to do crafts with the kids and enjoyed taking them to the library and the park. She is very reliable and is a very sweet and caring person. However, there were times I was not comfortable with the way she handled certain situations. I do wish her the best and hope she finds a good fit for her.
