I am a mother to a now adult son who is living on his own in Tampa, FL. I was able to stay with him as a full time mother until he was three years old and then went back to work in retail management as a single mother. He was diagnosed with CAPD and I have extensive experience with learning disabilities and the pro's and con's of the public school system. Patience and listening is key. For the last 7 years I was my mother's full time caregiver as well as a volunteer/foster with the SPCA of Florida (which I am still active with). My mom was recently on home hospice care and unfortunately passed in September. During my time caring for my mother, I completed a BA in psychology from USF. I am now seeking to go back to work and would love to apply the knowledge I Read more have in raising children as well as elder co-morbidities. It is my goal to remain in a caregiver role that has more flexibility than in the corporate or government sector.
