Hello! My name is Natalie, and I have a hands-on approach to caring for children. I enjoy playing just as much as they do (or almost) and take pride in creating fun new games (fairy hotels, sidewalk scooter roadways, and scavenger hunts to name a few). Children are so inventive and willing to believe, and it truly is a rewarding experience to be a part of that development. I am very accustomed to watching multiple children at once and maintain a philosophy of mutual respect and active listening, which helps everyone to have more fun. Regardless of how many children are in my care, safety is always a priority. Additionally, I am happy to help the children with their homework and make sure they complete their chores so that when the primary caretaker(s) return, the family can enjoy their time together. As a pseudo guest in a client's home, I Read more consider it my responsibility to leave their living space better than what I found it. That includes putting away and washing dishes, helping the children to clean up their toys, and doing light cleaning (vacuuming, dusting). I will ask for permission to complete any of these tasks so as not to overstep. I am also happy to assist with grocery shopping and dinner prep, per request. Sometimes the children like to help! I started babysitting when I was 13, and continued through most of college. Currently, I work part-time in Goucher College's communications office, but my hours are very flexible. I am available to work two to three full days per week as well as evenings and weekends (but not every weekend).
