I am a retired (retired young!) NYC Elementary school teacher with a lifetime of interaction with children in a multitude of capacities and environments. I've been tutoring consistently since I received my teaching certification in the 1980's and doing childcare prior to, throughout my teaching career during summers and also currently. Working with, spending time with children, and seeing them grow and develop socially and intellectually is second nature to me-it is my happy place. I've been involved in animal advocacy and animal rescue since the 1990's and have been volunteering in several capacities with Anjellicle Cats Rescue and Little Wanderers for the past 10 years. I'm also a licensed real estate agent working in real estate part time as an independent contractor.

Ellen took great care of our baby while we were figuring out daycare and working from home. She had a lot of fun with him and was very caring and good to him. She was easy to communicate with and flexible with hours and days. We'll definitely keep her on our list of sitters to call on in future.
