Hi there! My name is Sophia, and I have an extensive background working with children of all ages in various settings. I am currently a Court-Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). I partner with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services and CPS to advocate for the best interests of children in the foster care system. My current case includes 4 siblings ages 10-17. On weekends, I work at local churches providing Sunday daycare to infants, toddlers, pre-K, and elementary school children. Previously, I worked in a special needs classroom with children ages K-3 grade for two years before I became a part-time nanny for little 2 girls for three years. Since then, I have taken on childcare opportunities for family, friends, and clients of SitterCity (families), SitterTree (churches), KiddieCorp (corporate conferences). Sophia is absolutely wonderful! We felt so comfortable having her watch our 11 month old, along with our dog who is not the easiest to navigate. From the very beginning, she was very thorough with excellent communication, asking all the right questions to make sure she was prepared for any scenario. She also brings a warmth into the home that instantly puts you at ease, which is often tricky when leaving your baby with someone you don't know. We typically only have sitters come at night after our baby has gone to sleep, but Sophia is someone I would feel completely comfortable having watch during the day and putting down for bed if needed. We are so happy to have found her and can't wait for her to come back again.

We would highly recommend Sophia. She came to our Airbnb to watch our 9 month old daughter while we were in town for a wedding, and both evenings she was there went very smooth. Sophia handled both bed time and play time without any issues. Her communication was flawless, she was punctual, and she did everything we asked. My wife and I felt at ease leaving our daughter with her. If we ever came back to Austin, she would be the first person we called.

I have never used Sittercity or a babysitter I didn’t know, so this was my first time. It was the BEST experience! Sophia is a doll. So great with my kids! I have already recommended her to all my friends. We are in Houston, but if I lived in Austin I would lock her down as my own haha. Loved her!

Sophia was wonderful! We used her for two nights in a row while attending a local wedding and she was friendly, on-time, very sweet with our 1 year-old, and extremely responsive! She even went above and beyond, helping our son be in the wedding and taking him back-and-forth from the reception so he could see everyone for a bit. Highly recommended, would definitely use her again when we visit Austin!

Sophia is amazing! I felt our 17 month old son was in the greatest of hands with her. She’s such a sweet and kind person. A total natural with kids. She took care of our son while my husband and I went out for a date night and she did a great job and didn’t need any extra instruction from me. I’ll definitely be booking her for the next date night!
