I love working with kids; they brighten up the world with their imaginations and insights. I share a lot of interests with them, from the video/board games I play, to the movies/TV shows I watch. I find it important to be a constant and nurturing support for each child I work with. I find boundary-setting VERY important in my work with children. I believe that kids learn primarily by example, so it's my responsibility to set the best one possible. I have extensive knowledge of and experience with setting age-appropriate expectations and consequences. I have 6 years of paid experience working with children as an after-school teacher, childcare worker, and therapist (for children/teens). My educational background is in psychology/applied clinical psychology, with minors in child/adolescent clinical psychology and neuropsychology. I am CPR and first-aid certified by the Health and Safety Institute, as recently as October of 2024.
