Hello! I am a caregiver with a love for children and seeing the world through their eyes. I am graduating this Spring with my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood from Weber State University. My time at Weber State has enhanced my knowledge of child development and increased my skills of using guidance to help a child learn and build off of their strengths. Last semester, I had the opportunity to student teach at an early learning center for a classroom of young learners. I was able to practice planning developmentally appropriate practices with the children through planning activities and letting them lead their learning. I have had over 10 years of experience working with children as a babysitter and nanny. I have worked as a primary nanny for two different families in the past 6 years. I have worked with ages from newborn to 13 years old. I have loved Read more working in the home of families and growing genuine and caring relationships with children and families. For these families, I have provided care which has provided morning/night routines, nap times, planning games and activities, preparing meals, bathing, transporting children to different activities, community outings, light cleaning/laundry, etc. Currently, I am expanding my experiences of working with children in diverse settings. I am a volunteer on the Pediatric Unit of a local hospital where I play with children and help parents and children cope through the difficulty of being sick and hospitalized. I am also a volunteer at a grieving center for children where children and families who have experienced a death or divorce in their family can come receive counseling and participate in activities. I am CPR certified and also hold a food handlers permit.
