I am 27 (non-smoker) with many years of experience in child care. I am a high school graduate who attended Gannon University for Pre Veterinary Medicine 2015-2016. Currently attending Auburn University online classes for a Sterile Processing Technician Certification. I had almost 4,000 volunteer hours at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus 2013-2014. I care for children ranging from newborns to pre-adolescents (11-12 year old). I was a camp counselor the summer 2014 at Victory Camp and the summer of 2015 at Heights Summer Sports Camp. The summer of 2017 I worked for my mom babysitting with my then 8 year old sister who is a type 1 diabetic, in which I was responsible to check her blood sugar periodically, count the carbohydrates for her food & drinks and also give her insulin shots. March - May of 2017 I stopped working my retail job to take care of my 1 year Read more old niece and 4 year old nephew full-time. My niece who was premature, a silent choker, had severe acid reflux and required 24 attention. I watched my nephew who had occasional seizures. I've babysat my neighbors 3 young children including her son who has ADHD who required his medication and her youngest daughter who has severe eczema all over her body who required to be rubbed down with her medicated creams and ointments every hour. In addition, I’m also helpful when it comes to school as I’ve tutored children whom I was watching voluntarily, not for the pay so this is more than just a job to me. With these cases & more in the realm of my experience, I feel equipped with tools to be considered dependable. Being prompt is a major priority to my life, so discipline to myself is key to the way I function not only as a person, but a sitter. Once again, I love children & and caring for them so I’ll be more than just a sitter; I hope to be a positive influence for the children with how I carry myself. Children that I watch have my undivided attention so they will never not be preoccupied with something fun or positive.
