I enjoy working with youth to facilitate supportive growth - creating opportunities where children can develop their own unique abilities as caring members of community. I have worked as a Youth Mentor and in Program Development on the West Side of Chicago - centering land based, outdoor education. In addition, I hold extensive experience in early childhood education in both the Waldorf, and Montessori classroom. As a caretaker, I believe my role is to be a support person - centering each child and their individual process, allowing them to lead their learning and play. As a native Spanish speaker I am also able to offer language immersion as a childcare provider. With a strong foundation in early childhood education and the arts, I believe I am able to offer creative, empowering and globally diverse care.
