I became a caregiver because I had experience babysitting my 4 younger siblings growing up but also because once my siblings got older my love for kids remained. Family is important to me, and I enjoy supporting families with their unique needs and goals. I've been involved in different aspects of childcare from providing care for my nieces and nephews throughout their childhoods to volunteering as a leader in youth programs to working professionally as a freelance sitter, a long-term nanny, a summer camp counselor eventually as a summer camp director to working as a volunteer coordinator connecting volunteer tutors with families of vulnerable communities in need of academic support for their children here in Chicago. I enjoy all things that involve creativity and exploration. As much as I enjoy the opportunity to engage in activities like arts and crafts or reading, I also enjoy supporting families by giving them Read more the peace of mind of quality, integrity-based childcare so that they can focus on the many other responsibilities of being a parent. I also love to learn which is an opportunity that working with kids always presents. I believe some important parts of caregiving are partnering with parents to ensure the environment is what they want for their children and building relationships with both child and parents. I would describe my caregiving approach as one that balances structure with the freedom to be creative while also empowering kids to take responsibility and grow.
