My name is Anna Haggerty and I am located in Lansdale, PA. I am looking to join a family full time starting in June, after the school year is completed. I am also available for part time work up until then ( after school hours and weekends) My Current role is as a classroom aid, providing emotional and behavioral support to children with ASD. Prior to my current role I was a professional nanny and I have experience with newborns, toddlers, and children. I love aiding children in a decompressing activity, such as painting, drawing, baking, reading, or going for a scooter ride. Along with childcare, I am passionate about what I like to call “momcare” (or “parentcare”), staying ahead of tidying, laundry, light cleaning, meal preparation, errands and even the occasional business admin. I have a strong swimming background where I have over 5 years’ experience coaching and giving Read more swimming lessons to children ages 3-17. I have done group lessons, one on one and private lessons at client’s homes. I like to stay active so there will be no sitting around in front of screens all day! Along with that, I have my degree in fine art and will love to draw, paint and craft with your children. I'm extremely detail oriented and regimented, therefore ready to follow your schedule or give structure to your child's summer. I’m comfortable helping children with homework after school. Through coaching I witnessed what a difference it makes when a child feels heard. I believe in setting clear expectations and boundaries and positively acknowledging when those expectations are being met. Above all I believe in coming to each child with understanding, patience and empathy. I feel every day is new and exciting when working with children.
