My name is Elisa, and I'm a 35-year-old elementary school teacher in Alexandria (Fairfax County Public Schools). I currently teach 6th grade English and Social Studies and am in my 3rd year of teaching for FCPS. I have five years of formal nanny experience, plus fifteen years of formal and informal babysitting experience. I have formally nannied for two local families on a full-time basis and two other local families during early mornings or part-time. I have excellent references from every family for which I've worked. I am an outgoing, highly attentive nanny who loves to explore, read, create, and learn with the children I nanny. I love helping the children I care for experience positive growth, while having fun! My experiences range from full-time newborn care (providing all care, from bottle feedings (experience with breastmilk and formula), naps, meal-time preparation (homemade baby food) and feedings, tummy-time and working up Read more to milestones, to music and baby swim class) to teenage care (and all ages in between). I am CPR certified through FCPS. In my previous nanny positions, I took care of responsibilities including light cleaning, children and parent meal preparation, laundry, pet care, and errand-running for each of the families with which I worked. I have ample water experience and am an avid swimmer. I have worked with multiple infants, introducing them to water through baby swim classes through the Arlington Parks and Recreation Department. During the summer, I'm happy to facilitate and actively participate with infants through teens in pool play, museum visits downtown, or on longer outings. All of these options can be discussed in more detail, should you want additional help around the house! Please let me know if you have any questions. I'd be happy to answer your questions, interview, and provide references!
