I grew up babysitting children of family friends and studied to become a teacher, but I didn't realize my love of helping kids succeed and have fun until I worked at a camp two summers ago. Camp made me realize the joy in working with kids. Getting to know each one of my campers, playing games with my campers, creating excitement for camp activities, and helping my campers feel better when they were homesick or down brought me so much joy. It was the reason I came back to summer camp again last summer, where I was able to further grow my behavioral management, communication, teaching, and relational skills. After camp ended, I missed working with kids so much that I worked in childcare for a local church, and volunteered at Praise and Play for my own church. From these experiences, I have experience in working with kids aged five Read more to eleven, and in groups up to ten. I am CPR and Lifeguard certified, and have my bachelor's degree in Secondary English Education.
