Hi my name is Denisse I’m moving to Memphis weekend of 9/30/24 and I’m looking for a new family! I'm 26 years old and I am Bilingual, English and Spanish. Also have certification for CPR, First Aid, AED. I have extensive experience with multiple children from newborns to preteens. I have been a professional nanny from 2019-2023 and was a resident aid/activity aid in a nursing home from 2017-2019. Being the oldest in my family I grew up being the default caregiver for my siblings and cousins and I learned that I love to care for others. I carried that passion into my adolescence where I found many ways to gain experience. I was a volunteer teachers assistant to a K-4 class once a week for my entire freshman year of high school and all throughout high school I was a volunteer daycare teacher at a church multiple times a Read more week with anywhere from 5-15 children of all ages. After high school I went to UWM for a year and a half for Biomedical science but I realized I wasn’t happy and decided to lean into the care field like I had originally wanted. I've had the opportunity of watching the children I care for grow up over the years and am very proud of being their chosen caretaker. I love doing arts and crafts, cultivating age appropriate educational activities, going on outings to libraries/ museums/ parks/ play centers/ pools/ playgroups/ walks and much more! The nanny profession is very misunderstood by many families and nannie’s alike and often confused with the roles of a babysitter, house keeper, mothers helper, household manager, daycare, and or in-home daycare. I love to bring awareness and help educate everyone on the industry standards because I was the naive nanny at one point in time and I wish I was told what I know now. There are standards in this industry just like any other profession that are included in a contract with these very important things but not limited to: a detailed description of responsibilities and expectations, paid via payroll, guaranteed hours, overtime pay, pto/vacation/sick time, transportation reimbursement if personal vehicle is being used and services that fall outside of the care and safety of the children can be personalized to their needs and accordingly adjusted in pay. I hope to find a family that appreciates and values my experience, my work, and most of all who I am as a person. If you have any questions or concerns regarding anything please don’t hesitate.
