Hi, I'm Elaina! I am 29 years old and have over a decade of childcare experience working as a camp counselor, nanny, and babysitter for children of all ages. After graduating college in 2019 I spent a year as a live-in nanny for four wonderful kids between the ages of 2 and 12. After moving to a new state I babysat regularly for a toddler and kindergartener, before getting a job nannying for a 3-month old baby. When we moved again and bought our house in Massachusetts, I spent the first year working at the Ludlow Boys and Girl Club as an elementary school-aged group leader and summer camp counselor. In August 2023 I got a job working as a nanny for an amazing little boy who was 4 months old when I started and is now an energetic toddler. Now that's he's in daycare several days a week, my Read more schedule is much more open and I'm seeking additional childcare opportunities! I believe in always being kind and practicing patience, and know how important it is to build trust and get to know children on an individual level. And of course, safety first! I strive to go beyond just supervising, and support a play-based approach to childcare. Whether it's exploring outside, doing arts & crafts, building with Legos, or playing dress up, I'm ready to enthusiastically participate in all activities. I can also help with homework, reading, etc. With babies I'll stay engaged and happily talk to them all day long, and I have experience with tummy time and development activities/play. I'm an animal lover as well, so pets are a bonus! Note: I will be out of town April 3-11 but otherwise my schedule is pretty open and flexible
